Ingredients

  • 100 g unsalted butter
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 250 ml of Melosa
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 250 g sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

Procedure

  1. Mix the butter, brown sugar, the Melosa and the egg yolk.
  2. The flour is mixed separately with salt, bicarbonate, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and nutmeg. This is incorporated into the mix from the previous step until a smooth dough is obtained.
  3. Refrigerate this dough for at least 3 hours.
  4. Then remove and roll out the dough with a rolling pin to a thickness of 1/2 cm.
  5. Preheat the stove to 180 degrees.
  6. Cut with molds (whatever you have) or make balls and place them on a pre-greased tray.
  7. Bake for 9 to 12 minutes until golden brown and cool. (Decorate optional).
